SOCIAL, AI & DIGITAL MANAGER | BUCHAREST | SECTOR 1 | HYBRID

Role Overview

The Social, AI & Digital Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving social media, AI, and digital activation for the assigned brands in Romania. The role requires a bold, digitally fluent marketer who can integrate technology into the business, influence cross functional stakeholders, and translate global strategies into locally relevant, compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Social, AI, & Digital Brand Management

  • Own the social media strategy, content calendar, and channel performance for assigned brand(s) in the Romanian market (organic and paid).
  • Develop platform-specific content (organic and paid) tailored to HCP and consumer audiences, in partnership with creative, media, and compliance.
  • Monitor brand sentiment, engagement metrics, and emerging social trends relevant to the therapeutic area, and recommend data‑driven tests and optimizations.
  • Leverage digital and AI‑powered tools (social listening, analytics, marketing tech) to continuously improve content relevance, targeting, and impact.
  • Ensure all digital and social activities follow global guidelines, local regulations, and internal policies of a publicly listed healthcare company.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the HCP marketing team and work closely with OCE / omnichannel engagement to align clinical messaging, congress activations, and provider‑facing content across digital and social channels.
  • Partner with the consumer marketing team and Patient Engagement to ensure patient‑facing content is on‑brand, accessible, and aligned to the patient journey across touchpoints.
  • Serve as connective tissue between HCP, consumer, medical, legal, compliance, and regional/global teams to maintain one consistent brand voice across audiences and channels.
  • Coordinate agencies and external partners (digital, social, media, creative) to deliver high‑quality campaigns on time and on budget, aligned with global standards.

AI & LLM Strategy

  • Guide marketing, sales, and medical affairs on how the brand appears in and is represented by LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) and AI search overviews.
  • Develop a clear point of view and best practices for AI‑answer optimization (“answer engine optimization”); how to structure and tag content so it is accurately surfaced, interpreted, and cited by AI tools.
  • Monitor how AI tools describe the brand, indication, and key safety/usage information; flag inaccuracies or gaps for review with medical, legal, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with digital/IT and web teams to implement structured data, schema markup, and other technical enhancements that support AEO/SEO and AI visibility on local properties.
  • Educate internal teams on AI‑generated content and third‑party AI summarization of promotional and medical materials, including opportunities, risks, and compliance implications.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead digital and social projects end‑to‑end: from brief and objectives, through execution and optimization, to reporting and learning documentation.
  • Manage local approval flows (medical, legal, regulatory) in line with company processes and standards for a global, publicly listed organization.
  • Prepare clear performance dashboards, insights, and recommendations for local and regional leadership, using data to support bold experimentation and informed decision‑making.
  • Contribute to regional/global initiatives by sharing Romania market insights and adopting best practices from other markets to elevate local digital maturity.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience in digital or social media marketing (agency or client side), ideally within healthcare, pharma, or other highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, telco, regulated FMCG).
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) and how AI/LLMs surface and summarize health‑related information.
  • Experience with AEO/SEO strategy and/or structured data/schema markup, or strong interest and aptitude to rapidly build expertise in this area.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaborator, comfortable influencing without direct authority and working with diverse stakeholders (marketing, sales, medical, legal, regional/global).
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong content instincts, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for both HCP and Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian, both written and spoken, with the ability to present complex topics (AI, digital, compliance) in a clear and engaging way.
  • Proven ability to integrate technology into business solutions, combining data, tools, and platforms to solve marketing and engagement challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Prior work with medical affairs, regulatory teams, or medical‑legal review processes for promotional or scientific materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with social listening tools, marketing automation, CRM, or omnichannel platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce, Adobe, or similar).
  • Experience working in a global corporation or publicly listed company, familiar with governance, reporting, and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile & Mindset

  • A bold, intellectually curious digital native who is energized by testing new ideas and challenging the status quo with data‑backed recommendations.
  • Highly agile and comfortable operating in a fast‑evolving AI and digital landscape, continuously learning and sharing new practices with the team.
